We’ve been in operation since 2016, and our high-performing and approachable team members are dedicated to providing the best experience for our customers, and undertaking ongoing training to in new technologies for the service of late model vehicles. The Selwyn Auto workshop continually reinvests in new technology and equipment – allowing us to work as efficiently as possible, to get you back on the road as soon as possible.
ABOUT THE OWNERS
Nigel & Lisa
Owners
Nigel and Lisa live locally in Weedons, and are both hands-on in the management and everyday running of Selwyn Auto and Jones Road Auto. Nigel’s 23+ years’ experience as a mechanic, combined with Lisa’s background as a qualified financial advisor, makes them the perfect parnership in running two busy and successful businesses. Married for 8 years and the parents of 2 wonderful children, Nigel and Lisa enjoy going to car meets and events and, more recently, getting involved with motocross through the kids’ riding. Nigel’s current weekend projects include the restoration of a VK Commodore and a VH Valiant. Lisa is working on the restoration of her LJ Torana… though she admits she usually gets Nigel to do all the work! When they’re not in the workshop, Nigel can be found off-road motobiking and hunting, and Lisa can be spotted out in her garden or playing taxi to the kids. On those rare occassions they can’t be found at all, they’re off the grid in the high country, camping with the family.

Selwyn Auto is backed by the staff, skill and equipment of our Rolleston-based sister workshop, Jones Road Auto. The Jones Road Auto team includes a dedicated wof inspector, four full time mechanics and administrative and support staff – so we have many extra hands available to assist through busy periods, and provide additional expertise for specialist jobs.
